Just like the first game, Dying Light 2’s weapons have durability bars. The more players use a specific weapon, the more the bar depletes. By attaching mods to their favorite weapon, they can add different effects such as fire, electricity, or poison damage. More importantly, modding a weapon increases its durability. Sadly, the number of mod slots available per weapon is finite. Once all slots are filled, a weapon cannot be repaired any further....

It has also been made clear from Dying Light 2’s trailers that the game will also have a pretty compelling story to keep players interested beyond the gameplay. The story of Dying Light 2 that has been shown so far will be disappointing to fans who were hoping to continue on from the original game, but for fans looking for something completely new, there’s a lot to consume. Throughout the game’s trailers, little nuggets of campaign information has been dropped, setting up a story-centric experience not too dissimilar from the likes of the Fallout series....

Design & Build As you might expect from Dyson, the 360 Heurist is easily one of the best looking robot vacuum cleaners on the market. While the rest typically looks like large black ice hockey pucks, the 360 comes along with its own style. It looks much like the 360 Eye but comes in a striking metallic blue colour with a semi-matt finish and has silver, orange and red highlights. The version of the game shown was only in alpha state but it still looked sharp. The fire and water effects show promise, and Lara’s larger character model (as compared to prior Tomb Raider games) showcases the game’s more serious and gritty tone really well. It also showcases the character expressions and animations, too. This new Tomb Raider game looks very cinematic, almost to a fault. While it was very impressive looking and looked like it would make a fantastic movie, it looked as if the person demoing the game was actually playing very little of what was shown....

However, what we know officially about the PS4 and Xbox 720 and what has been rumored are not one in the same, as very little information has actually been detailed regarding either of the company’s major consoles. As well, we’ve begun to learn that rumors initially thought to be true — like intended names for the consoles — might have been leading us astray all along. Or at least that’s what Dual Pixels is suggesting with their massive rumor-filled post, which purportedly blows the lid off Sony, Microsoft, and even Nintendo’s plans for E3 2013....

In the case of Fable Legends, a significant showcase at the upcoming gaming expo was to be expected. Claiming to be the beginning of a new, “connected” era of Fable games, Fable Legends has established itself as one of the more intriguing titles on the horizon for Xbox One. While much is still unknown about the title, Lionhead Studios studio head John Needham claimed at Monday’s UK press event that that will be changing at this year’s E3....

Fans of Nintendo and the Switch are keeping their fingers crossed that this Direct will finally give a closer look at the Animal Crossing game that had been teased with a 2019 release window. Aside from that, there will likely be new information about Daemon X Machina, Fire Emblem: Three Houses, Luigi’s Mansion 3, and the upcoming remake of The Legend of Zelda: Link’s Awakening. That’s a lot to get through before the Nintendo Treehouse event takes over, so fans should be in for an action-packed Direct....

Speaking in a conference call to EA’s investors, Wilson expressed his enthusiasm for the new devices, stating that they will be “great for the industry.” Wilson believes that PlayStation Neo and Project Scorpio could lead to infinite console life cycles, which would mean EA could keep its community of players together as opposed to splintering it when the next generation of consoles arrives. Some believe that a smartphone-like upgrade model for game consoles may complicate things for developers, but Wilson doesn’t think so....

The Walt Disney Company and Electronic Arts have just announced that a new multi-year partnership has formed, whereby EA will develop and publish new Star Wars titles for various platforms. Not only that, but its subsidiaries will also be involved in development, which may breath new life into several fan-favorite game series - not the least of which being the fabled Battlefront 3. Here’s the rundown: (1) Crysis 2. The revolutionary FPS shooter that EA intended as a Halo killer is a perfect table-setter for the rest of the lineup. It’s fast, it’s sleek, and its Crytek-engine ensures precision in every aspect of its game. A five-tool prospect to be sure- if it can get all the aliens off its back. You can check out the trailer here. Crysis 2 is slated for release on the Xbox 360, the PS3, and the PC in Q4 of this year....

Evidently, a lot of other uses felt the same and EA took Battlefield 3: Aftershock down off of iTunes shortly thereafter, issuing a statement about quality control. Now, it seems they’re not interested in fixing it or putting it back up. On February 22nd, EA issued the following statement to IGN regarding Aftershock’s removal from the app store. So, what’s the plan going forward and when it go back online (fixed)?...

The original launch date of Apex Legends on mobile was set for late 2020, however it has become increasingly clear as the months pass that the game will not meet that date. As such, EA has decided to be a bit less tight-lipped regarding the project, as the company’s CEO Andrew Wilson has mentioned a delay for Apex Legends’ mobile version. In a section on EA’s website discussing quarterly earnings, the delay was officially announced, and the mobile game was confirmed to have a new estimated completion date of early 2021....

In an interview with IGN, Fares spoke candidly about A Way Out’s development. He explained how no one believed in the potential of A Way Out, and that even Electronic Arts didn’t think it would sell. He does note that “they still believed in me,” however. Fares goes on to say that it didn’t matter who believed in him, because he believed in himself. He’d say to himself, “This is going to happen,” and ultimately that reality became the truth....

According to Wall Street Journal reporter Sarah Needleman, EA won’t be dedicating any more resources to Nintendo Switch development until it can determine how worthwhile it was to bring FIFA 18 to the console. EA will make its decision regarding Nintendo Switch game development in March, after the system has been available for a full market year. While we won’t know until March what decision EA makes about the Nintendo Switch, right now, things aren’t looking good for FIFA 18 on the platform....

In a press release earlier today, EA Sports Group General Manager Cam Weber shared the company’s thanks to the FIFA players for all of their support. Weber stated that the company saw FIFA 22 had 9.1 million players already join and make 7.6 million Ultimate Team squads that have played 460 million matches. While thanking the players for their support, Weber also shared that the company is looking to the future of the franchise in the foreseeable future, and that may involve changing the franchise’s name....

The most recent public plea for Skate 4 comes from a comment-bombing of EA’s Instagram. On a post sharing the dates (June 8-9) of its own pre-E3 2019 showcase, EA Play, fans posted an overwhelming number of comments asking for Skate 4. At the time of this writing, this post has over 18K likes and nearly 1,500 comments, with the majority of those comments being related to Skate 4....

The last college football video game that EA Sports released was “NCAA Football 14” with Michigan’s Denard Robinson on the cover. It’s been over eight years since that game came out, and fans have been begging for a new version ever since. They finally got their wish. Fans are going to have to wait a while before actually playing the new version, though. The game isn’t going to be available in 2021; it will spend a few years in development before a new version is released....
