According to Motherboard, a 1.3GB cache of data has been shared, which includes references to internal tools and EA’s Origin store. An accompanying message from the hackers reads that it did contact EA for a ransom a few weeks prior, but EA didn’t respond, which prompted them to share some of the stolen data. Now, after a mostly lukewarm response, EA wants to know what gamers who use Origin think of it. On EA’s official website, the company posted an article asking users of Origin to leave a comment about the service, saying what their favourite feature is and what they feel could be added or changed for the better. EA Sports announced the update for FIFA 22 on April 13 via the official EA Sports forum and the in-game menus on PC and went live on consoles on April 14. The update removes all Russian teams and stadiums from the game echoing the real-world actions of football’s governing bodies FIFA and UEFA in excluding Russian teams from competing in all European and International soccer tournaments.
