E3 2015 is in full swing, giving gamers a great look at many new and upcoming titles. While a few games were spoiled or revealed earlier this year, the press conferences still had a lot of great surprises and announcements for fans of games. Ubisoft had a busy E3 press conference yesterday, not only showing off content from upcoming titles like Rainbow Six Siege and The Division, but also managing to surprise attendees with new announcements for games like For Honor and Ghost Recon Wildlands....

IGN’s Andrew Goldfarb spoke to Nintendo of America’s president and COO Reggie Fils-Aime recently, and Goldfarb took the chance to bring up Sony’s announcement. Reggie explained that not only will Nintendo be attending the event, but it’s a priority for the company. Reggie went on to say that the company’s mentality revolves around innovating a new way to send a message to their audience at the event. Reggie and Nintendo feel that all eyes are on E3 during that week, and to miss out on that opportunity could possibly set a company behind in their attempts to reach their fanbase with new content....

The country requested companies like software giant Oracle and game makers like EA to stop doing business in Russia as part of a strategy to isolate the country and get citizens to turn against the government, Deputy Minister Alexander Bornyakov told Reuters. In recent days, an increasing number of global companies have cut ties or stopped sales in Russia due to the ongoing military action in Ukraine. Ukraine’s minister of digital transformation, Mykhailo Fedorov, requested on Twitter that Oracle end business relationships with Russia, Russian-based clients and partners because “now more than ever, people’s lives depend on your choice....

It may seem early to start thinking about what future episodes of Final Fantasy VII Remake will offer, but in an interview with Producer Yoshinori Kitase, it was stated each episode of the game would comparable content to a standalone Final Fantasy game. It’s worth noting that during Square Enix’s E3 press conference, it was mentioned the first episode will be released across two Blu-ray discs. Part One of Final Fantasy VII Remake retells the first portion of the original game’s story within the metropolis of Midgar, however plans to go much deeper into the characters and backstory of this portion of the 1997 JRPG’s lore....

During the Digital Dragons 2016 conference, Marchewka revealed that Techland is currently working on two big-budgeted AAA games. Both titles will have a combined budget of approximately $80 million, and Techland is targeting a release window within the next two to three years. As for what those two in-development Techland games may be, Marchewka only revealed the details on one title, which will be an open-world fantasy game with RPG elements....

Based on a previous title the developer was working on called Hellraid, which is “currently-on-hold” according to the launch trailer’s video description on YouTube, this expansion brings players into a possessed arcade machine with a “dark fantasy vibe” that replaces Dying Light’s zombies with demonic skeletons and beasts such as a minotaur trapped in pillory. New swords, axes, and hammers have been added to help players, “Crush the hordes of hell,” and there is a ranked system that will be expanded further to include more weapons through free updates....

The gameplay footage of Pokemon Sword and Shield showed the main character roaming around in different parts of the town. The notable features from the Sword and Shield include the fact that Pokemon encounters will change depending upon the weather, place and what time of the day you encounter them. The dynamic system will bring a more realistic feel to the game. There is also a major change included in the game as compared to the previous generations....

As far as a reason for the cancellation, Victory Games, quite bluntly in fact, reveals that since fans seemed disinterested with the reboot’s direction they decided not to continue with it. While there is still a Command & Conquer fan base, it became pretty clear early on that Victory’s approach to the strategy game — making it a free-to-play, online-only experience with episodic content — was not what fans were looking for....

The Top Releases on Steam are based on the number of copies sold over the course of a month via Valve’s platform, not the number of copies sold overall. It should also be noted that games previously released on other platforms made available via Steam in June also qualify for the rankings.
