The publisher was sent thousands of letters and emails regarding the homosexual content in Mass Effect 3 and The Old Republic, the latter of which did not have same-sex relationships at launch. These individuals want EA to remove said content from their games, with some even accusing them of being pressured into adding homosexual relationships. The company’s actions aren’t going unnoticed by vocal consumers and as such, they’ve beaten AT&T to the finals of the consumer-voted worst company in America. The Consumerist unveiled the semi-final results collected from voters for the crown of the worst company within America. Electronic Arts claimed 74.52% of the votes. Comparatively, the company they were up against, AT&T, received just 25.48%. EA however, hasn’t been named the worst company in America just yet despite its convincing win in the semi-finals....
Well, here we go again. It’s the next round of EA vs. Call of Duty. After Activision debuted the very first gameplay trailer for Call of Duty: Black Ops II last night, someone from EA took some obligatory shots at the unveiling. Electronic Arts global product manager Kevin O’Leary went on Twitter this morning and called out Black Ops 2 as looking “tired,” without clarification. While I hate seeing hypocrisy (more on this later), I love industry people speaking their mind and firing up the competition....
For starters, EA Motive has stated it’s currently working on the sequel to Star Wars Battlefront, and it has the desire to introduce characters from the new movies into the game, which are most likely those from The Force Awakens and Rogue One. However, it wasn’t confirmed exactly which characters from the latest films would make it into forthcoming content, but it did feature a brief bit of previously released footage for the first Battlefront’s Bespin DLC that showed off Lando Calrissian....

The bodycam footage, taken inside Forsyth County Detention Center in Winston-Salem, shows Neville being restrained by five jailers, as he struggles and pleads for help. He repeatedly says “I can’t breathe” while face down in a cell. Reports state Neville’s limbs were folded in a “hog-tie” position. Neville said “I can’t breathe” more than 29 times in the footage and clearly asks for help numerous times. In the footage we see Neville being wheeled through the prison on December 4, 2019, to receive medical treatment....
That’s great news for fans and those currently on the fence. However, Dying Light 2 has to walk a fine line with how it handles its DLC and assorted updates and live events. There needs to be a concerted effort in playing to the game’s strengths and pleasing fans, as well as a degree of openness and regularity in the updates. Judging by the roadmap of the first four months, fans shouldn’t have anything to worry about, but the presence of another recent open-world game that bungled its DLC can’t be ignored....
