In Anarchy Reigns, gamers will take to the online battlefield with a variety of distinct characters as they battle it out for supremacy. While this is what developer Platinum Games is showing off on the show floor, the developers were also on hand to give a look at the game’s single player campaign mode. While the game’s online multiplayer component features a large cast of striking characters, the single player component will instead focus on two individual characters, Jack Cayman and Leo, known for their involvement in Madworld as its protagonist and antagonist, respectively....

Developed by Disney Interactive, Disney Universe allows gamers to take the role of their favorite Disney characters as they battle their way through an adventure spanning six different worlds drawn from Disney and Disney Pixar films. At this point though, the developers have yet to give any insight into the game’s story. The game make use of 4-player co-op to ensure that the whole family gets involved, and gamers will be able to play as one of over 40 different iconic Disney characters from Stitch to Alice, or TRON to Nemo....

At this year’s E3, there were a wide variety of trailers, both cinematic and gameplay focused, which premiered to some serious fanfare. [HTML1] Street Fighter 5 was announced at Sony’s PlayStation Experience event last year following a leaked trailer. Exclusive to PC and PS4 (with Capcom saying the game will never be released on Xbox), the latest edition in the fighting series cuts back on the art style of Street Fighter 4 and it introduces a feature called V-Gauge. The V-Gauge allows players to carry out special V-Skills attacks, V-Reversals allow players to counter an opponent’s attack, while the V-Triggers use up the entire V-Gauge bar to complete a ‘unique’ ability....

Even though this year’s E3 received a pretty lukewarm reception in contrast to the previous years, there were pretty big reveals and announcements spreading across from Microsoft to Ubisoft and even Nintendo which had their own thing going. The announcement comes courtesy of Electronic Arts CEO Andrew Wilson, who discussed the game’s success during a recent quarterly financial conference call. According to Wilson, EA is “overjoyed with the performance of Star Wars Battlefront,” throwing particular praise at the title for the 6.6 million players of the title during Q1. What’s more, Wilson suggested that Star Wars Battlefront will continue its involvement with the new series of Star Wars films....

While EA was ready to confirm DLC for Titanfall they would not say much more than that. In fact, EA’s Andrew Wilson wouldn’t even nail down in what form gamers might see this additional content. Instead, as Wilson explained on the call, Titanfall’s DLC will “evolve” alongside the game’s player bases. Once again, he wouldn’t provide any clarification, this time with regards to what “evolve” might mean, but the good news is that there will be additional content....

Consumers, or in this case gamers, aren’t the only ones who reap the benefits of increased competition among console manufacturers, though. Third party publishers, like Electronic Arts for example, also end up profiting from the competition as well. The better the platforms, the better the potential experiences, and the more interested gamers are. Speaking with GI.biz, EA’s COO Peter Moore echoed those sentiments, saying that his company sits in the “sweet spot” between Sony and Microsoft....

EA Play 2019 is now 10 days away and company has updated its website with the livestreaming schedule and all of the games to be featured. Festivities start at 9:30am PST at the Hollywood Palladium with Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order followed by a different game getting the spotlight every half an hour along with gaming personality hosts like Greg Miller, Julia Hardy, and Alex Mendez. In addition to Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order, confirmed games include the second season of Apex Legends, Battlefield V, EA Sports FIFA, Madden 20, and The Sims 4....

Despite this improvement, it seems the folks at Electronic Arts would like to see more women enter the industry and take on more important roles at development companies. At least that’s the thinking of EA’s COO, Peter Moore. In a recent interview with Fortune, Moore revealed that the gaming giant is working to lead the charge, by increasing not only the number of women in their office, but also encouraging women to helm major projects at Electronic Arts....

MySims was a spin-off of The Sims and was made for the Wii and DS. It tasked players with rebuilding a town, designing the buildings, and bonding with the citizens. The titles were not as advanced as The Sims series, but the first entry in the game quickly became one of the best-selling DS games. The series spawned five sequels but has not received a title since 2010, and that needs to be rectified....

According to a press release, EA Play will begin on Friday, June 7, 2019 with a kickoff event, while the EA Play “fanfest” will occur on Saturday, June 8 and Sunday, June 9, where players will be able to go hands-on with the company’s products. In lieu of a traditional press conference at E3 2019, EA has declared that it will be broadcasting “multiple live streams” that are set to air during the first two days of EA Play....

In a post on social media, EA confirmed all of the tracks on the EA Sports UFC 4 soundtrack. Some notable features are songs like Machine Gun Kelly’s “Roulette,” Wale’s “Routine” (ft. Rick Ross & Meek Mill), and Eminem’s “Godzilla” (feat. Juice WRLD). Notably, like the Madden NFL curse that some think afflicts cover stars, the Eminem curse is a theory that MMA fighters who walk out to an Eminem song are more likely to lose....

Unfortunately, character choice doesn’t have the same kind of impact or flexibility as something like Skyrim or The Witcher. In Dying Light 2, Aiden is required to choose between two important factions in the game called The Peacekeepers and The Survivors. Thankfully, there is no right or wrong choice when it comes to factions, as it has very little impact on the game’s story. However, the factions are important because of the individual benefits they can offer the protagonist in the long term....

Since Dying Light 2’s release earlier in 2022, Techland has continued to develop post-launch updates and events that address bugs, add new content, and celebrate seasonal occasions. Events like Dying Light 2’s Bloody Summer often come with community goals that task the player base with achieving certain milestones in exchange for rewards. Meanwhile, free DLC such as Footsteps of a Nightrunner have added new story chapters that expand the game’s narrative along with new bounty targets and time trials....
