As you can tell from the video, it’s a parody of the popular RedZone channel, but instead of showing you touchdowns, it shows you anthem coverage. One scroll through the replies to that tweet and you can tell it didn’t exactly get a great rating.
Among Whitlock’s critics was Eagles receiver Torrey Smith. While Smith hasn’t participated in the anthem protest, he has been a strong supporter of Colin Kaepernick and has been outspoken about social issues in the past.

So Smith clearly wasn’t happy with how Whitlock framed athletes in his video, and he let him know it. The two then engaged in a bit of a back-and-forth. The conversation can be seen below.
Smith’s response is just a constant reminder that athletes stay up-to-date and what’s being said in the media, and will not hesitate to call out B.S.
