The confirmation comes courtesy of an EA Engineer’s LinkedIn profile, where he revealed that the soccer title was being developed for the PSP2 as well as other platforms. Not only is DICE LA in charge of the mysterious third mode in the upcoming Battlefield 2042, Electronic Arts is giving more responsibility to DICE LA General Manager Christian Grass and the developers located there. Part of that is making the studio more known to fans and one of the best ways to do that is a rebrand to help not only attract more developers but to obtain a bigger presence with players....

When asked about how single-player titles currently fit into EA’s portfolio, CEO Andrew Wilson spoke about the motivations that make a player pick up a video game. “[Players] have these core motivations,” Wilson began. “Inspiration, escape, social connection, competition, self-improvement, creation… And the telling of stories is really important in the fulfillment of some of those motivations.” From Wilson’s comments, it is quite clear to see that there is a sense of acknowledgement from EA in the success of its recent single-player endeavors....

However, now that the Wii U’s specs have (presumably) been finalized, gamers are starting to get a better idea of just how powerful the machine is. Unfortunately, according to Dynasty Warriors developer Tecmo Koei, it’s not as powerful as many had hoped. Speaking with Eurogamer, Akihiro Suzuki revealed that the console’s CPU is actually less powerful than the current generation of consoles, namely the PS3 and the aforementioned 360. Tecmo Koei currently has a Wii U launch title, Warriors Orochi 3 Hyper, slated to release but, as Eurogamer notes, the game struggles to deliver a comparable Dynasty Warriors experience....
